Master_Dan is a nice guy, so hit him up if you have any questions. This guide is also very useful and can be used for Oblivion as well: I've installed a ton of mods and never CTDed due to too many in Oblivion. I don't think Oblivion has a 3.1GB cap either in terms of RAM usage. Skyrim will not allow you to do this and will CTD if your switching mods in and out. You don't have to worry about your saves being nuked from uninstalling script or regular mods either. You can actually run tons more scripted based mods in Oblivion than you can in Skyrim. Don't worry, Oblivion's scripting is far more stable than Skyrim scripting. Of course you will need OBSE if you plan to run scripted mods. TES4 edit will notify you of missing master files as well as clean mods.

Use OMM to install mods and not NMM because OMM does put the files in the correct places while NMM tends to muck things up. I never had to use Wyre Bash for Skyrim, however when I did it only bashed 1 mod, so it was kinda pointless for me. Wyre Bash is great to resolve conflicts between mods using bashed patches. BOSS is essential for that, and suprisingly most of the mods out there for Oblivion are detected by BOSS, this is not the case with Skyrim (due to more and more mods out there) Originally posted by Alkpaz:Oblivion is similar to Skyrim modding so Skyrim tips can help with Oblivion, but Oblivion is a bit more "work" to mod than Skyrim.
